The University of Anbar, represented by the Desert Studies Center, is preparing to launch the Second International Conference on Desert Studies, building on the success of the first edition. The conference aims to shed light on key issues related to the desert, including environmental, economic, social, and cultural aspects, with a focus on sustainable development in desert areas.

Addressing environmental challenges in the desert: Such as desertification, water scarcity, climate change, and their impact on the local environment.
